  • Candidates whose names are in the merit list and who have not been allotted any seats during first round of PG medical counselling
  • Candidates who were allotted seat in the first round either joined or not joined the allotted college
  • Candidates who secured PG medical admission in the first round and want to change their college/course

No. The candidates who already paid university fee for the medical college allotted during the first round of counselling need not pay the university fee again. Such candidates can directly download provisional allottment letter and report to the Principal of the allotted college to complete admission process.

Any candidate who has joined in the college allotted under Government quota can slide to a college under Management quota. In such case, the tuition fee already paid for the Government quota seat will be returned or adjusted to the candidate.

After completion of second round of seat allotment under Management quota, candidates who have joined either in the first round or in the second round are not permitted to withdraw from the allotted seat.

  • Candidates whose names are present in the merit list and not been allotted any seat during previous rounds of counselling
  • Candidates who were allotted PG medical seats in the first round/second round and joined/not reported in the allotted college

  • Candidates who have not been allotted any PG medical seats in the previous round of counselling for management quota seats
  • Candidates who have not been allotted any PG medical seat in the mop up round of counselling of Government quota, provided their name should be present in the merit list of Management quota

The following candidates are not eligible to participate in the mop up round of counselling for Management quota:

  • Candidates who have been allotted and joined PG medical seat either in Government quota or Management quota
  • Candidates who have been allotted PG medical seat in the mop up round of Government quota
  • Candidates who have been allotted PG medical seat in the previous two rounds of counselling under Management quota

Any candidate who has not joined the allotted medical college in the third round of counselling will not be permitted to participate in the next rounds of counselling if any or mop up round.

Candidates if allotted PG medical seat under Management quota in the mop up round of counselling should compulsorily join the course and they will not be permitted to withdraw from the allotted course/college under any circumstances.

  • Fresh candidates who have qualified in NEET PG exam and not applied earlier to the counselling process in the State of Andhra Pradesh
  • Candidates who are in the merit list of Government quota or Management quota but not admitted in any medical college

The steps involved in JIPMER PG medical counselling process are:

  1. Candidate Registration
  2. Biometric Finger Print Verification
  3. Image/Photo Verification
  4. Original Certificates/Bona-fide Certificate Verification
  5. Seat Allocation Process
  6. If a candidate chooses a specialization, he/she must submit original documents/bona-fide certificate with DD of Rs.50,000 and pay the admission fees on the same day of counselling
  7. If a candidate does not select any specialization, he/she is eligible for next round of JIPMER PG counselling

The documents required at the time of JIPMER PG counselling are as follows:

  • Original JIPMER PG Hall Ticket with a seal of the Invigilator
  • JIPMER PG Rank letter
  • Birth Certificate/SSLC Mark Sheet for Proof of date of birth
  • MBBS Mark Statement
  • Internship Completion Certificate
  • Conduct Certificate obtained from the Institute last attended
  • Transfer Certificate obtained from the Institute last studied
  • Migration Certificate obtained from the University last attended
  • MBBS Degree or Provisional Pass certificate
  • Permanent/Provisional Medical Registration Certificate
  • Residence Certificate issued by Revenue Authority, not below the rank of Tahsildar or Aadhaar Card or Voter ID or Passport copy
  • In case of OBC/SC/ST, a Community Certificate, recently obtained from the competent authority (a Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tahsildar)
  • Certificate from the Institute last studied, stating that the MCI recognizes the degree obtained by him/her from that Institute
  • Service Candidate should produce NOC/Relieving Order and a Certificate granting study leave with or without pay as the case may be
  • In case of OCI, Proof of Registration as OCI
  • Medical Certificate in case of Orthopedic Physically Challenged candidates
  • Four Passport size color photos

It is mandatory for all candidates to be physically present for JIPMER PG counseling on the notified date and time. No request for authorized representative on behalf of candidate will be entertained. If a candidate fails to attend counselling in person then he/she will be marked as absent.

Candidates opting for a particular specialization and getting admitted at JIPMER after the first round of counselling are eligible to be registered for the subsequent round (s) on production of DD for an amount of  INR.50,000 drawn in favor of The Director, JIPMER payable at SBI, JIPMER Branch, Pondicherry.
