The National Board of Examinations (NBE) has recently released the application forms for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2021 which is going to be held on April 18. There have been a lot of changes seen in the format of NEET PG 2021 starting from the reduction of the question papers to the increase in the number of examination centers. Candidates have been given time till 15th to fill up the applications for the PG medical entrance examination. With a lot of time in hand, it was seen that the NEET PG exam centers in Tamil Nadu were filled up in less than four hours when the applications were released.
Meanwhile, Madurai MP Su Venkatesan has written to the Ministry of Health and Education, Government of India to increase the number of examination centers for NEET PG 2021. In the letter, he mentioned that he had been receiving a lot of representations from PG medical aspirants saying that they couldn’t get a centre in Tamil Nadu. Along with Tamil Nadu, all the neighboring centres in Pondicherry and Karnataka were also full.
With no centres in one’s own state, aspirants will have to travel to different states to appear the exam in the pandemic. It would end up affecting both the candidate and their guardians who would accompany them. The most affected of them can be women candidates and aged people. The MP in his appeal has requested to increase the number of NEET PG exam centers that would not only accommodate all the candidates but would also help them concentrate for the exam.
